Healing the Streets

ONe Wound At a Time

Every Person. Every Street. Every Wound Matters.

Our Story

Where Street Medicine Found
Its Purpose

In 2019, AAA Wound Care was founded by Dr. Aram Harijan to deliver high-quality, accessible wound care across post-acute and community settings.
The practice has since grown into the largest wound care provider in San Diego County. Through this work, Dr. Harijan and his team consistently encountered people living on the streets with chronic, untreated wounds—driven not by medical complexity, but by lack of access to basic supplies, training, and follow-up care.

Recognizing that these needs extended beyond what a clinical practice alone could address, Street Wound Foundation was formed to close that gap. We equip street medicine teams with practical wound care supplies, hands-on education, and clinical support so care can be delivered with dignity wherever people are.

Hands-On Wound Debridement Training for County of San Diego, Street Medicine Summit - 04/04/2025

Street medicine providers regularly encounter complex wounds without the benefit of formal wound care training or adequate resources.

We support frontline teams by providing practical, field-ready education focused on real-world conditions—teaching clinicians, outreach workers, and volunteers how to assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds safely and effectively in nontraditional environments.

Our goal is not just to treat wounds, but to empower those delivering care with confidence, consistency, and clinical judgment.

Mission 1: Education

Teaching the Skills That Turn Compassion Into Care

Field-Ready Training

Education focused on real-world wound assessment, infection prevention, and dressing selection for nontraditional care environments.

Mission 2: Direct Action

Providing Wound Care Kits To
Street Medicine Teams

Even the most skilled clinicians cannot deliver effective wound care without the right supplies.

For Street Medicine Providers & Patients

Every person is worthy of care

Street Wound Foundation distributes standardized wound care kits to street medicine teams, outreach clinicians, and community partners working in nontraditional care settings. Each kit is intentionally designed to support consistent, safe wound treatment in environments where resources are limited and follow-up is uncertain.

By reducing supply barriers, we help wounds get treated earlier, complications get prevented, and care is delivered with dignity—wherever it’s needed.

What’s Inside the Wound Care Kit

Each kit is built for real-world street care and includes a custom 3D-printed irrigation cap that screws onto a standard water bottle — making wound cleaning possible anywhere.
